Match Report - 3rd June 2025

1/4 wins on Saturday as the 2nd XI were the only team to take 12 points from their fixture.

The 1st XI travelled to Tickhill and were in trouble early on at 49-6. Town managed to claw back to a respectable 185 thanks to Charlie Kaye (sponsored by @rsmliningsuppliesglobal) scoring 56 runs from 80 balls. Unfortunately Tickhill managed to complete their chase with 9 balls spare and 3 wickets remaining.



The 2nd XI welcomed Tickhill's 2nd XI to Benetthorpe on Saturday as they posted 179/7 including a solid 71 from 103 balls from Jack Woodiwiss (sponsored by Delta Plastering). The visitors could only manage 126 in reply as Warren Graca (sponsored by Andy Beekie Plumbing & Heating) took 5-32 from 12.4 overs.


The 3rd XI travelled to Stocksbridge and fell agonisingly short the 218 runs required, scoring 202 in 44.4 overs. The chase bolstered by an innings of 80 runs from Alfie Peirson alongside Oscar Jones' 53 putting on 119 for the first wicket.


The 4th XI hosted Stocksbridge's 2nd XI bowling the visitors out for 135 thanks to Ankit Patel's 3-29 from 10. Unfortunately the 4th XI could only reach 95 before being bowled out.


Sunday saw the the 1st XI host Cleethorpes in the K3 Cup. The 1st XI restricted the visitors to just 173 inside 40 overs. With rain around the chase was reduced to 32 overs and Town required 157 from this. Taylor Fell (sponsored by 8th Battalion, The Rifles) was pick of the bunch scoring 54 from 61 balls seeing the 1st XI through to the Quarter Finals as they host Clifton Alliance.


The women continued their good run in the 100 tournament on Sunday as they cruised past both Yapham and Saxton, defending 77 in their first game, the bowling attack secured victory including an impressive 2-8 from 19 balls for Aura Kent. The women then chased down 89 in their second game thanks to Kate Duffield (sponsored by Dave Blanusha) as she scored 37 runs from 30 balls.


Finally, the 4th XI travelled to Whitley Hall in the Billy Oates Memorial Trophy, setting an impressive 190 with help from Max Davidson scoring 90 from 69 balls. Unfortunately it wasn't enough as the hosts completed the chase with 2 overs to spare and 3 wickets in hand.
